What does the support of a Health Coach look like?
1. Improve the health and wellness of clients through an active partnership and personalized approach.
2. Setting goals for the client based on their preferences.
3. Helping clients assess the point they are at, and how to move forward through action steps.
4. Improve client insight through health education, reflection, identifying barriers, and strategies of self-awareness.
5. Allowing the client to feel empowered as a result of health coaching.
Health Coach vs. Mental Health Therapist
Health Coaches and therapists both provide counsel; but therapists help their clients work through and resolve past issues and traumas, whereas coaches work with clients on current health obstacles and challenges. A coach’s main job is to help clients take results-oriented action to move from stuck in their lives to empowered and liberated.
